- Gather everything you need before you begin the enrollment process. When you apply for or renew your coverage, you’ll be asked for household, income, and current coverage information.
- If you have 2018 Marketplace coverage, review your current application to make sure it’s still accurate. If not, update your application with any changes(ex. income changes, household changes). If you don’t update your application, you may jeopardize your premium tax credit or other savings.
- Set an Open Enrollment deadline reminder for yourself. Remember, Open Enrollment ends December 15, so it will go by fast if you aren’t paying attention. If you have a 2018 Marketplace plan, you may be automatically enrolled in the same plan (or a similar one) for 2019 if you don’t act by the deadline, and that may not be in your best interest. Be sure to mark December 15 on your calendar so you don’t miss out on a plan that may be a better fit for you for 2019. And be sure to follow us on Facebook for reminders as well.
- Talk to an agent here at Bell & Associates Consulting Firm about any questions or concerns you may have. We are happy to address any of your concerns, help you update your information, or even help you get enrolled!
