New Medicare cards will be coming to your mailbox soon!
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid are issuing new Medicare cards with Medicare-specific identification numbers to better ward off medical identity fraud. There will be no change to Medicare recipients’ coverage or benefits.
Everyone who is enrolled in Medicare will receive a new card by mail. People who are new to Medicare since April will receive the cards as they enroll. To find out when your state will start to get the Medicare cards, click here.
No further action is required from Medicare recipients other than to keep watch over their mailboxes for their new card. There is no cost to get a new card. Upon receiving the new cards, seniors are instructed to destroy their old cards.
For more information on the new Medicare cards or to sign up for Medicare, please contact us online or give us a call at (662) 260-4635. We are here to help you anytime.
